While Kelley Peterson has earned plenty of professional accolades during her 25+ year career in marketing communications – past president of the National Professional Chapters Council of the American Marketing Association as well as past president of the local chapter—Lincoln AMA, Lincoln AMA’s Marketer of the Year, named to the Lincoln Business Journal’s 40 under 40, inducted into the Lincoln Marketing Hall of Fame – what truly sets her apart is her proven, passionate ability to apply her knowledge to nonprofit brands and their communications and fundraising efforts.Kelley blends her command of solid marketing principles (she holds Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) status through the American Marketing Association), career experience in both corporate and nonprofit settings and creative savvy together in the impactful, award-winning work she does for clients in brand creation and advancement, event strategy, direct marketing and social media.A Career Brought Full-CircleThe professional know-how Kelley brings to agencies and clients comes from her experience and her heart. Originally working in various marketing communications roles in private industry, Kelley sought more meaning in her work, eventually holding positions in nonprofits including marketing director for CEDARS Home for Children and associate vice president of marketing communications at Nebraska Children and Families Foundation. Her agency experience has allowed her to share her considerable knowledge with multiple clients at a time and includes working as chief creative office at KidGlov, account manager at Swanson Russell and vice president of account service at Communication Design.These days, Kelley serves as marketing strategist, creative writer and nonprofit brand consultant. She also dedicates part of her professional time to speaking engagements, traveling around the U.S. to help both nonprofit associations and individual organizations elevate their visibility, bring the story of their mission to life and apply sound, proven marketing communications tactics to their unique environments.Outside of her passion for creative work and nonprofits, Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband, Lee, and their children Foster, Finley and Skyler. She says her life wouldn’t be complete without the four-legged family members, a dachshund named Rocky, and pugs, Chubs and Dot.
