With over 13 years experience in health care revenue cycle management, Kelly has been on the front lines as the industry evolved from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM coding. From fee-for-service to accountable care reimbursement, and from a cumbersome claims submission process to technology-driven systems that increase productivity and compliance while decreasing reimbursement time.Since 2013 Kelly’s focus has been on developing and maintaining Computer Assisted Coding technology, shortening the gap between service and reimbursement, while working to improve the patient experience. She works with a wide range of experienced developers (linguists, engineers, and subject matter experts) to improve precision and recall of suggested CPT, PCS, ICD-10-CM and Quality Measure coding. Her expertise is in Evaluation and Management coding. As Team Lead, Kelly works closely alongside management to determine development opportunities/priorities, evaluate team performance, provide on-boarding and training across a range of development tools, and large-scale reporting.
