Kelly Nichols

I am a highly motivated individual looking to gain experience in a lab setting. I have achieved two bachelor degrees, one in Economic Crime Investigation and the other in Forensic Science. I have prior work experience as an intern at the Erie County CPS Forensic Laboratory in Buffalo, NY. I have worked in the departments of Firearms Analysis, evidence receiving, Chemistry, DNA and Serology, as well as case filing. I assisted Senior Forensic Scientists and observed proper procedures for accepting, preparing and recording evidence for laboratory casework while adhering to the chain-of-custody. I have gained valuable knowledge in the process of physical analysis, comparison, and evaluation of evidence along with proper laboratory safety procedures. I feel my education and prior work experience makes me the best candidate for the position of Lab Tech where I will be able to apply my knowledge and, at the same time, gain experience that will help me reach my ultimate goal.
