My goal as an English professor is to continue to offer dynamic and impactful classes to language learners at all levels. I am interested in researching the use of technology, specifically certain types of video games like massive, multi-player online role-playing games (MMORPG) and handheld gaming devices for use in teaching English in authentic contexts. My goal as a game historian is to cover the more offbeat and unknown aspects of the industry, including under-appreciated hardware and software. I am mostly interested in documenting and writing about past consoles and the behind-the-scenes events in video games. Specialties: Extensive linguistic training, more than two decades of experience preparing teachers at the elementary and secondary levels for board certification, experience with Title V federal proposals, extensive technological training, and years of writing experience for several enthusiast sites and games magazines.
