Kendall Baten

As an employee of Standard Motor Products, I have been able to strengthen my practical automotive knowledge as well as my ability to analyze data and understand the real-world implications of testing vehicle parts in the aftermarket industry. While at SMP I have started as engineering lead for projects dealing with turbochargers and fuel pump driver modules. In these projects I oversee the completion of the testing and the parts approval process to make sure they are up to OE standards. I have also been a part of the community engagement team and have participated in volunteer activities such as judging student projects for the New York City Science and Engineering Fair and reviewing scholarships for the Women in Auto Care Association.As I continue to build my connections with the company, I plan to grow my expertise in the automotive field and become well versed in the inner workings of automotive parts. This will complement my knowledge gained during my schooling which was more focused on the vehicle as a whole.
