Kenneth Thomsen

At an early stage I found myself leading people. The military was a gift for someone like me, providing me with unlimited leadership challenges and responsibility. I loved my job and the diverse and amazing people I was working with. My journey brought me to remote places and gave me international experience. In every position I was a high performer, always staying true to what characterized me as leader: ★ Empowering others ★ Fostering collaboration ★ Delivering results. After consecutive years with great performance my results paid off and I got shortlisted as a top 3% leadership talent in the Danish Army. From that point my career skyrocketed with leading positions at the attractive Defence College, MBA in London and responsibility for running various strategic projects. After completing my MBA, I left the military to pursue a business career and my journey began with Danske Bank where I had 4 amazing years. I worked extensively with business unit transformations, their leaders & talents, and deployment of state-of-the-art technologies with the aim of improving the banks customer experience. My aspiration for starting by own business grew and I founded Learning Pilots a tech enabled company helping companies succeed by developing their talent, leadership and organisation using cutting-edge technology and facilitation. Following my passion for technology and data I joined BEC Financial Technologies in a senior leadership position working with shared platforms and the DevOps pipeline. It gave my opportunity to deep dive into modern software development, based on cloud and containerized technologies, and applying agile ways of working. Today, I work as Chief Digital Officer with Maersk Training responsible for an Digital Organisation that caters for all IT and digital aspects of the business, ensuring continuous growth and great digital customer experiences. Also, board member representing the digital perspective.
