Keri Stewart

I am an experienced transport planner and project manager with over 25 years experience in the UK and Ireland. My career began in airport management for BAA where I worked in terminal management, retail management, marketing, international business development and surface access based at Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports and BAA HQ in London. I produced surface access strategies and travel plans for Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen Airports and this lead me into the transport planning sector. I then worked in the public sector in regional transport in a policy and strategy role for Westrans and SPT. I have worked for various transport planning/engineering consultancies supporting public and private sector organisations with their transport planning requirements. I have specific experience of promoting the use of public transport, walking and cycling - and less use of cars through travel planning, travel behaviour change and travel demand management. I also have experience and strong skills in business development, proposal writing and managing the preparation of bids. In 2014 I completed a secondment to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where I managed a small team to deliver the Travel Advice for Business programme as part of the overall Travel Demand Management programme. I have been Stakeholder Lead for various infrastructure projects and delivered community benefits commitments. In 2019 I joined Arcadis to help develop the public sector business. I am excited about the future of mobility and the potential use of technology and more energy efficient vehicles to improve accessibility and social inclusion and ultimately quality of life. I recently qualified as a Transformational Life Coach and Pilates Teacher and strongly believe in the value of the mind and body being in balance.
