About

Kerrie Boles was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. An Eastern Michigan University Alumna, she majored in Apparels, Textiles, and Merchandising with a concentration in Marketing. Her goal was to become a retail buyer for a large department store such as Sacs Fifth, Nordstrom, Macy’s, etc. In 2014, Kerrie jumped back into the automotive field designing seats and doors at Toyota Boshoku. Since then she has worked on Lexus, RAV4, Sequoia, and leading her own program, Highlander since 2018. She works closely with TBA companies in Japan, Canada and Mexico. In 2012, Kerrie researched and presented, “Examination of Alternative Fabric Joining Techniques Compared to Traditional Sewing” (published in McNair Scholars Research Journal, Volume 5 Issue 1). She has served as Vice President of EMU's chapter of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a dedicated committee member of EMU's Fashion Avenue, taking on the role as event coordinator. She worked as the volunteer coordinator for Eastern Michigan University’s Fashion Week and Fashion Show: Fashionality. She also interned for Nordstrom where she gained training on the “Customer Experience” which is quality customer service. In 2012, she studied abroad in London, England and Paris, France where she hopes to soon return. Although she has transitioned to automotive, Kerrie's passion for fashion is something she holds close to her heart and expresses through her volunteer work and involvement.
