Kevin Barry

Kevin is a multi-skilled and highly experienced manager with a dynamic and team focused approach to delivery of outputs. He has extensive experience in technical and portfolio, programme and project management (P3M) across a range of domains in the maritime environment. Kevin had a long and varied career in the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and, in his final post, he was responsible for delivery of effective and efficient through-life support to all Royal Navy (RN) capital ships, managing a budget of £2,097M and an extensive range of support personnel delivering through a range of contracts. As a Platform Duty Holder (PDH) he was also responsible for ensuring that the platforms were ‘safe to operate’. In 2014 Kevin sought a new challenge applying his public sector experience to useful effect in the private sector. Since joining BMT he has been engaged in a wide range of activities supporting UK and international projects. Kevin thrives in a demanding and challenging work environment and his ‘can do’ attitude and enthusiasm, combined with personal and professional integrity, humour and people skills, are core to his approach. He employs a proactive and focused approach to delivery of high quality outputs and has a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
