I had worked as shift manager at a local pizzeria, when I was studying in Australia. In the first year of my managing career, the restaurant didn't have the computer base Point of Sale (POS) system. So, every night the cash register will print out all the sales of the day and I used the giant calculator to check all the transactions and sales has charged collectedly. It was a really time-consuming job and some time really annoying job when the sales and transactions are mixing up. Later, the owner bought the restaurant POS system and everything just works like magic. I don't have to deal with calculator and all annoying receipts. Furthermore, the system also keep record of all the supply in and out, labor hours, weekly revenue and spending, and so on. At that time, I was so amazed with the POS system and computer technology, and I also really enthused how technology can handle complicated jobs so easily. Now, I am studying Computer Information System at Cal Poly Pomona. I am learning about technology, and business. As a result, I can make any type of business run more easily, effectively, and efficiently with the help technology in the future.
