Kevin Hannigan

I am a Sourcing Manager for Merck, focused on R&D Sourcing & Procurement. I am also a graduate of the MBA program at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. I enrolled in business school offering a unique background--for four years, I was a television newsroom assignment editor, managing the planning, operations, and logistics of network and local television news coverage. I also have a deep passion and interest in crisis management, and have orchestrated professional crisis communication simulations for my MBA students at Maryland. Deep down, I am a constant learner--no matter where I work or what I do, I want to know how and why everything happens the way that it does and then I want to make it happen as best as possible. I never stop asking the question, "Can this be better?" Having worked in journalism, I am a very experienced multi-tasker in ambiguous, high-stress, and fast-paced environments while operating on strict deadlines. I am seeking to meet/connect with supply chain professionals from whom I can continue to grow my knowledge and understanding of the types of work they do and the problems they need to solve.
