I am an innovative advisor and litigator with a deep background in healthcare. I represent clients in complex litigation and commercial disputes, as well as employment matters, insurance coverage, and contract negotiations. Formerly an Associate General Counsel to a large, regional long-term care organization and a pharmacist, I have extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry. I have represented a range of healthcare clients, including licensed professionals, single-provider offices, provider groups, RCFEs/ALFs/SNFs, hospices, nursing agencies, pharmacies, rehabilitation companies, risk-bearing organizations, and health-insurance providers. I am passionate about finding creative solutions for my clients. Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, I represented healthcare and insurance clients in commercial and coverage litigation matters at boutique litigation firm in Los Angeles. I later served as in-house counsel for a regional skilled nursing organization where I was frequently involved in executive decision-making, contract negotiations, litigation, and risk management. I appreciate firsthand how healthcare organizations evaluate risk and how their legal needs and strategies fit in with their overall business plans.
