Kevin O'Connor

Motivated first generation college graduate who is passionate about exploring opportunities in the higher education field. My undergraduate experience at American University, along with my interactions with various on-campus advisors and administrators, has instilled a passion for higher education within me. My experiences working as an English language tutor abroad, and volunteering as a English teacher at a local English center, have enabled me to develop the skills necessary to effectively communicate with students of diverse backgrounds, and how to develop meaningful relationships with students and co-teachers in order to foster a positive learning environment. As a result of navigating college as a first generation student, and my experiences teaching and tutoring fellow students, I am highly passionate about seeking a fulfilling and challenging career within the higher education field.
