Khoi Vo Dac

Graduated from Hue University in 1981,Khoi was assigned to Phu Khanh Civil Engineering Consulting Co. In 1990, he moved to Khanh Hoa Minexco where he was able to help the company to export silica sand to Japan, Taiwan, Korea and attracted foreign investment to build export facilities in Cam Ranh Pennisula. In 1994, he received a scholarship from Harvard Institute for International Development to study economics in Boulder, CO. and an MBA at Vanderbilt, TN. Returned Vietnam in 1997, he joined ACB working at the Chairman’s Office. After 2 yrs. working at ACB, realizing the challenges of political economic environment, he joined U.S. ConGen where he worked so hard to improve dialogues between 2 nations. Khoi helped the Mission to open an American Center in HCMC and established 2 other ACs in Danang and Cantho. He was almost a de-facto senior national assistant to the mission leaders as they traveled in the consular area. In 6/2010, Khoi left the ConGen to seek other professional challenges. He works at HBC as director of planning, and investor relations. Despite a challenging business environment, Khoi has helped HBC to boast its brand images. HBC won 02 national awards- the Vietnam Value and 05 Best Annual Report Awards consecutively. He pulled $10ml equity fund to HBC from Nikko Securities Indonesia, another $7.5ml to a HBC client and successfully deployed HBC forces in Myanmar. He also connects HBC to the ASEAN Contractors Federation and acts as a volunteer for VACC at the ACF Council Meetings. Visioning education as a platform for development, he's been a freelance lecture, after returning Vietnam, at many educational institutions such as VLU, TDT, CBAM, HUFLIT, UEH, IE Singapore, PACE, AITCV, Bourne Griffiths, BCC. Khoi also is a freelance writer.
