Kiki Nakamura-Koyama

Through education we can fantasize about what could, should and can be. In addition to four years of teaching experience domestically and internationally, I have a half-decade of experience facilitating difficult conversations through Bowdoin College's Intergroup Dialogue, Seeds of Peace, and Harvard's Equity and Inclusion Fellowship program. I have facilitated conversations at high schools, colleges, summer camps, and through the Fulbright program. I am skeptical of buzzwords like "DEI" and common technical solutions to adaptive problems, but I categorically believe in diversity, equity and inclusion - particularly how those values invite innovation. My greatest talent is bringing people with different values and identities together and orchestrating cohesion. I have refined skills in organization, planning, teaching middle and high school-level students, and working in disparate cultural contexts. I daydream about creative approaches to impossible challenges.
