Kim Kelley

Provides support to foster parents through support groups, trainings, processing respite and childcare requests, consultations, and working directly with Department of Children and Families social workers. Responsible for planning and running a self care retreat for foster and adoptive mothers. Educated in attachment issues, trauma, effects of pre-natal drug exposure, family therapy, play therapy, behavior modification, and assessments. Skilled at working with multi-systems of care including: child welfare organizations, justice system, emergency crisis management teams. Knowledgeable about school counseling, including IEP's, 504's, FBA's, scheduling, academic concerns, etc. Specialties: Individual and group therapy, play therapy, art therapy, guided imagery. Experience working with people of all ages with a variety of DSM IV diagnoses including: PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Depression, Mood Disorders, etc. Strong interest in working with children and adults who have been traumatized through abuse/neglect.
