I have dedicated my career to the field of Human Resources. With over 25 years of experience, I currently serve as SVP/Chief Employee Engagement for Sound Credit Union where I lead Human Resources and Talent Management strategies. Joining SCU in 2001, as Director of HR (and a department of 1), I constructed the HR department from a state of infancy to a progressive enterprise and integral constituent of the organization. Some of my greatest accomplishments include leading HR operations and culture integration strategies for 8 mergers/ acquisitions, which included the largest credit union merger in WA state history, and also the first credit union & bank acquisition in WA state. Vital HR merger/acquisition functions focused on pre- and post-due diligence, review of HR infrastructure & systems, organizational development, change management, and workforce transition. Additionally, under my leadership, Sound Credit Union has consistently received the highest ranking from internal audits and external certified audits in the areas of HR practices and policies, payroll administration, and retirement plans. Amongst the various programs I implemented, include the development of Sound’s first Leadership Development Program and Wellness Program. In June 2019, I earned my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business-Human Resources Management from Western Governor’s University. Additionally I have maintained professional credentials from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI-SPHR) since 2005. I am also a member of the NWCUA HR/Training Council since 1995. While I am proud of my career accomplishments, my greatest pride is raising a son and daughter into adulthood, and the joy I get from spending time with my beautiful and busy granddaughters. Hobbies I enjoy most include shared events with family and friends, interior decorating, and boating.
