Provides leadership and oversight in the development, implementation and maintenance of company policies and actions affecting the employment relationship. Partners with legal counsel, responsible for the legal sufficiency and consistency in employment policies and actions and monitors developments in case and statutory law affecting employment matters. Is directly responsible for the formulation of union avoidance strategies and for successful contract negotiations with the company’s existing unions.
