Kirk Wilson

Currently I am employed with Emcon Services as a shop Foreman. My position consists of maintaining the roads in and around the City of Cold Lake and supervising summer road crews. Prior to Emcon I was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces giving me over 20 years of experience in transportation, which allowed me to bill the expertise I have with equipment. While in the military I was able to build skills by taking courses in senior leaders’ course, junior leaders’ course, conflict management, working with difficult people, WHMIS, first aid, TDG, and several other military related courses. I was given several awards starting with, the Chief of Defense Staff Commendation in September 2011, the Wing Commander Commendation in November 2010 and the Top Candidate award in the Senior Leadership course I attended. In the last 10 years of military service my focus changed from driving equipment to leading a team of fellow members. This change provided me with extensive skills to work with diverse people in a broad spectrum of situations, critical thinking, and build on existing computer skills.
