Results-oriented manager and public health professional with more than 15 years of leadership experience in public health with a focus on communicable diseases, sexual, reproductive, and mental health, human rights and gender equality, programme development, design, and management at the international level in low- and middle-income countries. I have experience negotiating, building, and maintaining strong partnerships with relevant public, private and international stakeholders, including civil society and community-based organisations. A few highlights of my professional experience include: - Proven experience in providing technical, advisory, and mentoring support to senior staff of government agencies (Ministries of Health), UN Women, UNICEF, UNDP, WHO, and international and national non-governmental organizations in launching and implementing health-related initiatives. - Extensive experience in health policy and program development in resource-poor, post-conflict countries, and emerging economies, and in conducting health impact assessments with human rights and gender considerations. - Experience negotiating with governments, the private sector, donors (USAID/PEPFAR, Global Fund), INGOs, and UN, and planning and organizing health and rights events - Experience conducting health, behavioral, and epidemiological surveys and needs assessments in vulnerable and marginalized communities, youth, girls, and women to identify areas for health interventions and community service development. - Experience engaging civil society organizations and communities, building national and regional platforms, facilitating networks, and developing partnerships with organizations, donors, and global stakeholders.
