Kirsten Barnett Brown

Kirsten is a Holistic Psychotherapist & Counsellor, Coach and Facilitator with a passion for supporting people on their journey to greater self-awareness and self-compassion. She has an eclectic style that combines skills in process-oriented psychology, positive psychology, person-centred counselling, and nature connection. Kirsten is a graduate of the Metavision Institute and as such, her approach is informed by its holistic ethos and the interconnectedness of all things. Kirsten's passion is to empower women to come back into alignment with their inner wisdom and knowing, and a greater connection to their bodies, to the cycles of nature and an honouring of life's most important and often challenging transitions. An advocate for menstrual cycle awareness and positive mental health for all people. Currently offering sessions through The House of Healing, in-person in Blackheath and online. Currently registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and a Youth Mental Health First Aider (YMHFA). Kirsten also has extensive and varied experience in the vocational and tertiary education industry. Holding executive positions at the Metavision Institute and The Open University (UK), as well as working on qualification redevelopments for Open Colleges, Study Group, TAFE NSW and Edexcel (UK). These roles have established Kirsten’s ability to navigate educational standards and policies, negotiate stakeholder demands and provide leadership in dynamic and ever-changing environments. Kirsten is an engaging and experienced trainer and facilitator. Managing the youth leadership program, Max Potential, for The Future Leader Group, Kirsten trained community coaches and facilitated large-scale workshops with precision, confidence, empathy and inclusivity. Kirsten now brings these attributes to facilitating women's circles and festival workshops, creating safe and supportive spaces for open-sharing and transformational growth. Kirsten values a diverse lifestyle and looks forward to further establishing her position as a holistic psychotherapist and group facilitator, as well as utilising her many years of experience in business and education.
