Governmental positions: 1996-2014: Director General in the Norwegian Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs, with responsibility for Coastal administration and matters including infrastructure for maritime transport and safety at sea, ports and port security, oil spill preparedness, and civil radio navigation policies. 2014-2020: Director General employed in the Ministry of Transport with special aviation projects, including air traffic management, civil- military aviation cooperation, airspace strategy, and security and cybersecurity at the national and EU, serving as Norwegian Head of delegation and chair of the Civil- Military Committee of the pan-European ATM organization Eurocontrol. Ms. Selvig has previously worked as legal advisor in the Danish Ministry of Environment and in the Nordic Ministers Council, been assistant Director General in the Department for Petroleum Affairs and The Tax Law Department in the Norwegian Ministry of Finance. Academics: Ms. Selvig holds a law degree from University of Copenhagen. She has held various teaching and research positions in the field of law at universities in Copenhagen and Oslo, and has published articles in Norwegian and foreign periodicals. She has completed one year of studies at the Norwegian Defense College. Experience: She has extensive experience from international cooperation and negotiations, both bilateral and multilateral within UN, OSCE, IMO, EU, Eurocontrol, Nordic and Arctic nations and organizations, relating to i.e. GNSS/GPS, radionavigation and data exchange, surveillance, reporting and early warning systems, and salvage and rescue operations, including cyber security. This includes matters such as the Northern Sea Route and cooperation with major East-Asian states as well as policies related to the High North and the Arctic areas. Her experience includes delivering of conference papers and talks on such matters.
