Korey Pierce

In preparation for my retirement from the US Navy in October 2019 I am completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) with a concentration in Organizational Leadership through Arizona State University (ASU) in August 2019. While the content of my current job rating is not easily transferable to most civilian jobs, I am highly confident that my experience has prepared me with a strong set of general skills that I can apply to other industries: • Leadership and Integrity: Takes initiative, practices dynamic leadership, and champions teamwork and organizational vision, communicating effectively and transparently, valuing integrity and expecting the same from others. • Personnel Management: Leads by example, willing to work alongside others to teach, train, and mentor, constantly ensuring safety, quality, professionalism, and sustained superior performance. • Production and Operations: Highly effective at managing multiple, complex, high-consequence projects through flexibility, unwavering attention to detail, and management of competing priorities and resources. • Content Knowledge and Training: Knowledgeable, articulate, and sought-out subject matter expert, encouraging an always-learning culture that fosters organizational innovation and personnel growth. • Quality Assurance and Safety: Engages in continuous quality and process improvement through data analysis, modeling expectations for consistency, and encouraging teamwork in finding and implementing solutions to problems, and understanding, interpreting, and enforcing compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and safety rules. Short-term goals include acquiring a professional management position with an innovative, high-performing organization, and completion of a Master's Degree in Applied Leadership and Management. Long-term goals include promotion to higher-level management roles, leading teams as a mentor, motivator, and problem-solver.
