About

Since September 2021 I've been editing structured finance reports for S&P Global in New York. In 2018 and 2019 I was a weekend editor with LinkedIn where I curated business news stories and promoted the best writing on the platform so that many users could read posts. Until January 2018 I edited credit analysis reports for clarity, conciseness and adherence to in-house style on the corporate ratings team at S&P Global in New York. I graduated with an MA from the Missouri School of Journalism in December 2016. During the summer of 2016, I worked as a Dow Jones News Fund business reporter with Thomson Reuters. At Reuters, I wrote about banks taking risks by not hedging against rising interest rates, an Ethiopian Olympic silver medalist and people playing Pokemon Go in the Holocaust Memorial Museum. I interviewed Ivanka Trump for a story about the opening of the new Trump Hotel in DC. I was part of an award-winning editorial team that told the story of thousands of deaths from the use of tasers by law enforcement. I received a White House Press Correspondent's Association scholarship for my master's project in the fall of 2016. Over summer 2015, I interned for the business section of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. There, I wrote articles about a variety of topics including local distressed mortgages, an urban farming training program for African American women, the Greek debt crisis, egg prices and Herbalife. During Spring 2015 and 2016 I was a teaching assistant for Econ 1051, a beginning economics class for journalism majors. During Fall 2014 I was a teaching assistant for Journalism 2000: Cross Cultural Journalism. For my courses, I reported for the Missouri Business Alert and the Columbia Missourian. For ten months I covered post-revolution Tunisia from Tunis as an editor and writer for the first independent English language news site after the Tunisian Revolution: www.tunisialive.net.
