About
Experienced Global Health research analyst and project manager of international health programs and research studies in low-resource settings spanning multiple disciplines, including maternal and child health, infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS, Ebola, Zika), and reproductive health and family planning. Has lived, worked and traveled extensively in francophone Africa as well as numerous other countries in Sub Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Has a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) with training in epidemiology, social and behavioral sciences, health communication strategies, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. Significant research experience includes publishing results of a surveillance system evaluation of zoonotic diseases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), lessons learned from reinforcing epidemiologic surveillance during the 2017 Ebola Outbreak in the Likati District, DRC, and an analysis of antiretroviral therapy (ART)-naïve HIV patients lost-to-care in Central African HIV clinics. Co-authored other publications including a study of antenatal corticosteroids for women at-risk of preterm birth, a description of performance indicators used to monitor data quality of a large maternal and neonatal health registry in multiple low-resource countries, and a protocol paper, baseline anthropometric study, and dietary methods paper of women participating in a clinical trial of a preconception maternal nutrition supplement.
