KUDAKWASHE MAPAKO

Mr Mapako holds an LLB Degree in International Law from Zhejiang Gongshang University .Currently pursuing his LLM specialising in International Law at the University of Cape town. He worked as a Legal Intern at Anglo-Thai Legal (ATL) of 133 Sukhumvit 57 Road, Klongton Bangkok, Thailand (Thai Lawyers Council no.7082/2552). His duties included Legal Research in Thai, English, Cross-jurisdiction and international law,Internal Advocacy and Communications with Clients,Negotiation, dispute resolution and Litigation,Analysis and Assessment of Cases,Drafting Statements of cases (witness statements), Hague applications and Transactional Contracts). Mr Mapako took part in Legal research for International Criminal Moot Court Competition in Beijing 2018.He was also leading Counsel in the 13th International Committee of the Red Cross Moot Court Competition in Mainland China.He is also an active participant at Asia Youth International Model United Nations focusing mainly on discussing current and future world problems and posing solutions.Kudakwashe Z. Mapako is a Research Officer at AFRICSIS in the Arms Control and Nonproliferation program in Yaounde, Cameroon since October 2021. Parallel to his role at AFRICSIS, Mr. Mapako is a legal Researcher at the Canadian Institute for International Law Expertise (CIFILE)where he contributes to the institute’s work on, inter alia, transitional developments in public international law and international humanitarian law. CIFILE is an independent, non-political and private institute, working with groups of international lawyers and scientific experts across the globe to promote the implementation of nationals and international law.
