Kyle Holt

I'm a Software Engineer with strong strategic and analytical foresight and a never-ending desire to master new concepts. Outside of Software I enjoy volunteering, rock climbing, being outdoors, and trying new things all the time. I graduated from the University of Utah in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, but my inability to quench my thirst for knowledge and deep interest in the sciences compelled me to further my education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. It was during my time at the University of Utah in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 and 2013 that I was first exposed to the possibilities of programming. I competed and medaled in several Mechanical Engineering competitions - two of which involved programming robots using C++. It was during the competitions that I found a new passion and began taking a lead programming role. I spent a good part of 2014 learning Java and JavaScript before working full-time as a Software Engineer. I currently attend the AngularJS Utah and Utah d3.js Meetups.
