During my final year at Cal Poly SLO, I began working with two students who had come up with a clever bicycle brake design to prevent over the bar accidents. After several iterations the technology evolved into Slidepad, which will be used by several bicycle brands this year as a way to add safety and simplify how the brakes operate on their recreational bicycles. Being involved in a start up company has enabled me to get experience in many areas of business, and learn what it takes for a small team to introduce a new technology to the market.
