Kyle Sunter

In my experiences before even 'having a job on the books' I learned how to communicate well with people, keep an inventory, track supply and demand, and come up with future forecasts. I have been driven since as long as I can remember. In my youth I sold lemonade and vegetables from my family garden. After a couple summers of making some change for my piggy bank I decided to start mowing lawns in my neighborhood as my next business venture. When I was sixteen I started my first job at Subway in Guilford, CT. I worked there through my high school career until senior year when I took the year off to start college searching. I went to Middlesex Community College and worked twenty plus hours a week at Starbucks. Having worked at Starbucks for a year I learned that I really wanted to work closely with people. Starbucks encouraged me to work well with teams, (sending me to shift supervisor training) to be confident in my abilities, and to focus my energy on positive work ethics. After learning so much from Starbucks I decided I wanted to apply to Southern Connecticut State University and focus more on my education. I hit my stride when I started working at Starbucks, where I found that management was a natural fit. And it wasn't until I started taking management courses that I realized where my passion lies. I figured out I have always been able to handle people and team situations well. From shift supervisor at Starbucks to Customer Service Representative for an Electrical LED manufacturer I have maintained my passion for working closely with different groups of people within many professional organizations and settings. Having gone back to school for Electrical Engineering technician I have found a career at Intertek.
