Lalit Loomba

I focus my litigation practice on the defense of municipalities and municipal officials in federal civil rights claims. I represent several Westchester County, NY, municipalities and have a strong familiarity with both federal and state courts in New York. I have extensive experience representing police officers in Section 1983 litigation involving claims of excessive force, false arrest and malicious prosecution, including high-profile wrongful conviction cases. I also frequently represent municipalities and their employees in the defense of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and other types of employment law claims. I handle all phases of such litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trials and appeals. I have trial experience in New York federal and state courts, and have argued appeals before the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
