Hi, I'm Laura. I am a Barista by day, Live Music Rep by night, Music Writer in the hours in between. But the great big love of my life are gigs, which is why I am looking for an entry level position working for a Live Music Promoter. Of course, life isn't all dreams and aspirations. So, here are some facts and figures: - I have graduated with a 1st class BA degree in Communications and a Postgraduate Diploma in Media and Journalism - I have several years experience working in office based roles where I have mastered the art of formatting Excel Spreadsheets, problem solving, time management and all kinds of administrative duties. - I am pro-active with a hands-on mentality, a trait that has served me well in various hospitality roles and makes me an ideal candidate for working in fast-paced environments. - I am an experienced music writer and creative thinker with an extensive portfolio of captivating reviews and insightful interviews. - Over the past 3 years, I have worked in the live events industry in a variety of roles (onsite, offsite and backstage). All of them have shaped my ability to confidently interact with industry professionals from agents and promoters to managers and artists. But most importantly - I am an INFP. In other words: I am extremely creative and empathic, I shine brightest when I can connect with (likeminded) people and I will always, always, strive to make a difference. I believe in fairness and equality and try to incorporate those values into my work.
