Throughout my career I have served a broad range of audit clients ranging from early stage to global public companies. I am primarily focused in the retail/consumer products industry, but have worked with clients in technology and life sciences. I started my career in San Diego, where EY is the #1 firm in taking companies public, and as a result, served as the lead audit senior on 2 IPO’s. Since moving to LA, I have worked on a variety of well known public and private companies, including 2 with international operations and 1 newly public Company. My work experience encompasses a variety of accounting, project management, and mentorship responsibilities such as: - Responsible for the coordination, quality, and execution of audit procedures performed by audit teams in various European, Asia Pacific, and Central America countries in accordance with PCAOB standards to satisfy SEC reporting requirements; - Became IFRS accredited to serve on an international client required to report under US GAAP and IFRS - Responsible for review of SEC filings to ensure compliance with SEC regulations. - Developed and presented SOX Compliance Best Practices to an international internal audit department - Led SOX implementation and testing strategy on a first year 404 client, including review of internal business and accounting processes and preparation of recommendations to support an effective internal control environment; - Researched and coordinated technical accounting memos supporting accounting and auditing issues such as revenue recognition, business combinations, debt modifications, equity transactions, and inventory issues; - Participated in Initial and secondary public debt and equity offerings, including the execution of comfort letters with underwriters and counsel; - Served as a counselor for up to four senior/staff accountants and provided career mentorship, represented them in the annual review process, and provided regular feedback.
