I create opportunities for both children and adults to thrive in schools -- what children are learning is what adults learn, in order to take children to their next challenging level, every day. I do things like: * Strategic planning and SMART goal setting to ensure we prioritize for maximum impact * Coach for continual teacher and principal development applying adult learning principles * Ensure children receive individualized instruction to bring them to their next challenging level * Design and deliver professional learning in literacy in both English and Spanish * Lead for continual improvement of bilingual/EL education programs * Speak, write, read and understand Spanish fluently * Include all children in classroom learning I believe in: * Shared leadership * Data to practice * Nurturing the whole child * Challenging students to reach their next learning level every day * Arts integration * Progressive education
