Lauren Chan

I'm a purpose driven individual with a growth mindset. I have 2 years of work experience in Investor Relations, IT and Capital Markets Operations at Citigroup and Moody’s Corporation. While working as an analyst at these firms, I learned about operations in equities options trading through projects with senior management and institutional clients. I trained experienced hires and took the initiative to learn a programming language without any technical background and utilized that to program a tool for my team that expedited daily reporting process and reduced turnaround time for stakeholders both in the U.S. And abroad. At school, I led Financial Management Association where I advocated for learning opportunities in different areas of finance for students at the undergraduate and graduate level. During my free time, I volunteer as a pro-bono business consultant/venture coach for student start-ups in healthcare, sales and marketing – in addition to developing a technical recruitment service with a UB faculty member. I’m committed to helping key decision makers make better informed decisions through the analysis of data and these past experiences helped hone my quantitative, teamwork and leadership skills which I firmly believe will benefit any organization
