Provides management of daily operations of the ED coding team, to include but not limited to staffing ,workflow, productivity ,employee and customer satisfaction and engagement . For 7 SSM Health Emergency departments. Assists in the development of department goals and metrics, the coordination of staff and work to succeed and exceed these goals and metrics. Assists with daily workflow for the Outpatient coding team. That includes weekly scheduling of 12 employees workflow, working timely and high risk HURON reports, cleaning up claim edits, and fielding all coding questions from the OP staff. Managing three hospitals and working with all ancillary departments to meet their needs from the outpatient coding team. ICD-10 trained CDM and PCS coding. Assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-9 and CPT classifications in compliance with regulatory guidelines for the Emergency Department, Cancer Center and Ancillary Outpatient services ,including infusions and injections, E/M facility side coding.
