I am passionate about the marketing potential of social media. Through my studies (English concentration in Writing, Rhetoric, and Literacy with a minor in Professional Writing) and my employment, I have seized the opportunity to understand the world of social media. From tweeting to blogging, I am learning the discourse of advertising within these platforms. While presently in a marketing internship at The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology, I am learning a broad range of advertising through writing and creating content such as: - Social Media Posts - Radio Ads - Email Blasts - Press Releases - Annual Report Text - InDesign Online Content I am also the manager of the Ohio State at Newark's English Department's Twitter and Instagram, and a co-worker on the Writer's Studio's Twitter, a tutoring center for writing, at Ohio State Newark. My extensive coursework in persuasive writing has taught me to write for technical, creative, and rhetorical social situations, and I have gained experience in real-world applications of each. Quality is what I strive for when assigned a task. Obstacles bring out my energy and creative ideas rather than anxiety. In teams, I enjoy figuring out the best and most productive way to get things done, including promoting the skills of my team members. In fact, while I thrive on personal achievement, I love best a collaborative work setting where I can create real connections with other hard-working people.
