I currently lead a results-oriented business sales team in Northcentral FL for Verizon. We help our existing and prospective customers strategically overcome business challenges through the use of technology. During the Pandemic while people were cautious to go out, blood donors decreased. I made it a point to increase my donations, and quickly found out that my Platelets were more valuable than my blood. I shifted to donating Platelets every 2 weeks. Platelets help your blood to clot and are very important for Cancer and Trauma patients. Unlike blood donated, Platelets have a very short shelf life approximately 5 days. The process to donate is approximately 2 hours, including check in time plan for 2.5 to 3 hours.
