Leicester Curry Awards

The inaugural Leicester Curry Awards took place on April 23rd 2017, at Athena in Leicester City Centre, amongst a room full of South Asian culinary experts from across the city. For three years running, the Leicester Curry Awards has celebrated the achievements of local business owners, chefs, hard working restaurateurs, and promoted the range of South Asian cuisines available in the city. With a strong multicultural heritage, it’s no surprise that Leicester stands strong as one of the country’s most widely recognised curry capitals. From takeaways and traditional pubs, to speciality restaurants and larger fine dining establishments, there are a countless number of hidden gems dotted across the city. Coming back for for a fourth year, the Leicester Curry Awards 2020 is expanding across the county, to celebrate all of what Leicestershire has to offer.
