As a Professor (adjunct) at Lakehead University, OISE and UTM and a Founder of Smartwork Online Education, I have more than 20 years of international professional experience in education, classroom teaching, gender equality, youth engagement, teacher development and curriculum development, English language education (ESL, TESOL, writing) and international development. I have a Ph.D. In Education from the University of Toronto and a M.Ed. From Harvard University Graduate School of Education. My research interests include teacher professional development, policy analysis, funding proposals, civic engagement, gender, equity and diversity in education. I have published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and received the Michel Laferriere Research Award for 2014. I have also worked as a consultant for various organizations, such as UNICEF, Save the Children, Right to Play, and Freedom House, on projects related to education and social justice in different contexts and regions. I possess strong cultural and interpersonal skills as well as French proficiency and basic Spanish language. I am passionate about creating innovative and inclusive learning opportunities for learners of all ages and backgrounds.
