Leon Xu

I am an engineer and aspiring machinist with 2.5+ years of experience working in an FDA/ISO compliant medical device development environment and 1.5+ years working in manufacturing capacities. So far, the products that I have worked on include aspects of a stent/stent delivery system and various machined products that span the range of fields including medical, aerospace, optical, consumer electronics, semiconductor, and military. I have also worked on medical soft goods that relate to patient positioning in and outside of the operating room. Recently I have been working on developing products in the realm of scientific instruments. I am always seeking adventures to quench my fundamental curiosity to explore and the nagging desire to create (to design, to make, and to make things work), whether in the workplace environment or in my own personal projects. My professional Interests - medical device design, consumer product design, electro-mechanical devices, CAD/CAM, CNC Machining, rapid prototyping, plastics, industrial design.
