About
I developed software powered by the AutoCAD Architecture engine for use in designing house floor, roof and wall systems. I am proficient in C# and C++. I developed the algorithms to display the framing and to calculate the loads carried by the various framing components. I have also developed native mobile applications using the Xamarin platform on Visual Studio. I conducted extensive research in the alternative energy field of direct methanol fuel cells which resulted in the co-authorship of the paper titled: "Enhanced DMFC Performance Via Pulsed Fuel Flow" which was published in the Proceedings of 2004 ASME IMECE. I developed and taught the introduction to Engineering and the Engineering Graphics courses at Spelman College. The Introduction to Engineering course was a project based course that I developed to acquaint first year students with the process used by engineers to solve problems. I designed the Engineering Graphics course to allow students to learn how to use Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and 3D Studio to develop and design engineering solutions to problems that I presented as group and individual projects. I developed and taught workshops at Georgia Tech for Calculus and Physics. The goal of the workshops was to give the students an advantage over the general Georgia Tech population in the Calculus and Physics series of courses. I equipped the student participants in the workshops with the tools to excel in the Calculus and Physics classes. The participants in the workshops were able to improve their grades in the respective courses by over 20% compared to the general Georgia Tech student population.
