Leonardo Paolella

Through my 15 years of railway experience, I have proved my capability in problem-solving and management of international teams. Along the years I have managed the test and commissioning of complex multi-million projects, overcoming difficulties during very demanding phases. I am passionate, result-oriented and well structured. Working extensively with system integration gave me a wide knowledge of various systems (such as Interlocking, ATP, ATS, ATO, CBTC, SCADA, Platform Screen Doors, Passenger information, and Control System). I have gained experience in risk analysis, budgeting, recruitment and personal development, verification and validation process, authority management, design and implementation of test and operational procedures, and document management. I work closely with the project managers and contract manager, building direct and trusty relations with the employers. In 2011 I have led the System Integration of the first Driverless Metro in Saudi Arabia, delivering the project GoA2 in 14 months and GoA4 in 28 months. Since 2013 I am the Commissioning manager of an incredible team of engineers which delivered the first CBTC Driverless Metro of Copenhagen in September 2019 and are continuing to transform the city with the project extensions.
