It is my belief that a business can only flourish when its employees are content. So what creates happy employees? I have come to learn that the encouragement of creativity and autonomy leads to my satisfaction. When I am trusted to work to the best of my abilities while knowing there is a strong support team accessible I set forth to find answers and problem-solve.In the past I worked as the Customs Brokerage Lead at Expeditors, where I worked to import freight through US Customs for multiple corporations. I found that I loved when shipments would go smoothly; however, I also enjoyed challenging myself on shipments in which I encountered problems. In my job there was a solution to every problem, it was just a means of finding the resources to confront these issues. I was lucky to work in an environment that promoted leadership skills, and felt as if I contributed to a team who had the same goals in mind. I also felt that I gained confidence from my teammates and learned something new every single day.Currently I am working as an Insurance Coordinator at Stapleton Dentistry, which has provided me experience in customer service and allows me to foresee any obstacles before they even occur. I think everyone hopes for mutual respect in their relationships and the feeling that their opinion matters and is viewed as important. I like to think that when I am working with a person, I am not only meeting their expectations but making those expectations my own.In 2010 I studied abroad in Lille, France, which provided me with a greater appreciation of not only other cultures, but also my own. I love to work with diverse groups of people. In my opinion, you can learn something new from everyone that you meet - so why not use that to your advantage? Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and my dog, Tim. I am a pretty open book, so please feel free to reach out to me!
