Veritas EventsCourier Services - 2018I was hired to make hand-to-hand deliveries and act as a courier for Veritas Events, being able to effectively communicate with my manager and deliver within a particular time frame became incredibly important and is a skill I carry forward with me throughout my subsequent employers.Knox Grammar SchoolWater Polo/Aquatics Coach (2019-Present)I was hired by Knox Grammar School to coach senior students in their aquatics and Water Polo program. A necessary component of coaching is the ability to speak with confidence and communicate key points within a given time frame. Moreover, I was given the opportunity to work in conjunction with the office and head staff of Knox Grammar Aquatic Centre to organise and control public sporting day functions at the pool, with the development of my organisational and time management skills taking place. Outdoor Education/Camp Instructors (2019-Present)I was hired by Knox Grammar Schools Outdoor Education sector to coach and manage groups of senior students with ages ranging from 12-13 to 15-16. As a camp/group supervisor my focus is on a range of individuals, each tending to different needs and wants. My experience as an advisor and supervisor during these outdoor education camps has provided me with sufficient skills in communication, with management and with students, provide information and interaction with new people every day and I have needed to provide hasty and creative solutions to challenges as they arise. I have developed a great ability to both give and receive feedback to encourage growth and development De Costi Fish MarketPeriodic Casual Team Staff Member (2019/2020)My experience under De Costi’s Fish Market in Pyrmont was vast and ever-growing, as I entered a market unbeknownst to me before with no prior experience. However, my focus as a casual staff member for De Costi was to provide with timely and efficient responses to whichever challenges or jobs I was tasked with. As such, working during the busiest times of the year (Christmas/Easter) provided me with an experience of direct teamwork, working with dozens of other employees almost as part of a ‘well-oiled machine’. The work was autonomous and working the long hours I did, I developed an uncanny ability to put my head down and just get it done, whatever the task may be. I demonstrated commitment and the desire to learn, providing sufficient responses to those tasks provided.
