I'm Native/American Indian of the Shoshoni/Bannock tribe of Fort Hall, Idaho; Have been in Alaska since Aug 1963..came up to Alaska as nurse..worked at Bethel, Ak hospital & the old ANMC hospital downtown Anchorage & Providence Hosp.; Married, took husband out to Calif.to get educated as A& P mechanic; came back to Ak 1968 worked ANS Hosp E-ENT, Surgical; moved back to Bethel Hosp worked Peds/med/surg/OB labor & delivery/ER; then trans to MCH/FP in the infant stage till 1993; Retired moved to small village of Red Devil..had no clinic was selected to become health aide..went to school, graduated & became Itinerant CHP for YKHC...Worked for YKHC for 30 years..Retired..went to work for SCF & APIAI...been working for APIAI for 3 yrs mainly on St George Island to present; Am considered an elder/ should be retired, but the Great Spirit has blessed me with good health, scruples & knowledge/compassion..gifts not to be wasted but to be used/able to take care of sick people. Am well known in YK-Delta as Pahnem...
