I’m Lindsay, a translator and researcher specialising in human rights advocacy, non-fiction, and news media. My varied career has always involved languages in some form. I've been a UK government linguist, an in-house translator at a major international law firm, and an open source intelligence consultant to private clients, research organisations, NGOs, and academia. I was a co-translator of the historical anthology Voices of the Nakba: A Living History of Palestine (English PEN Award winner 2021). My translations regularly feature on the website of human rights NGO Rights in Russia. In 2017-2018, I was an Associate Tutor for the University of East Anglia's MA in Applied Translation course (Russian to English). I am passionate about human rights and social justice, and prioritise pro bono work in support of humanitarian and cultural projects.
