In-depth knowledge and personal experience evaluating and handling a wide range of litigation matters, including complex business disputes, patent and trademark infringement, antitrust class actions and investigations by the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission, insurance coverage, federal and state environmental claims, toxic tort and product liabiity claims, anti-dumping claims, construction disputes, and bankruptcy matters. As Deputy General Counsel of Arkema, manages complex litigation, intellectual property matters and government investigations in North and South America, working with global business unit heads to assess risks and set business goals with respect to claims brought by and against the organization; align intellectual property strategy with business goals; develop budgets, strategies and tactics; reports directly to Arkema Inc. General Counsel, and periodically to Arkema Inc. CEO and the Arkema Group’s global Executive Committee. Select and manage outside counsel. Developed corporate responsibility policies and processes to ensure responsible sourcing, including a Conflict MInerals Policy.
