Lisa Coates-Cameron

In my previous career I was very competent Legal Professional with 15+ years experience. I then found myself needing a change, to do something else that better utilized my knowledge and inherent abilities. In looking for a career change in 2016 I "happened into" Human Resources and am enjoying this career. There are several transferable skills from the legal world that translate well into HR and having completed furthering my education within this field by completing a Human Resources Management Certificate through York University I know that I have much to offer. I have experience with: - HR generalist functions including, HRIS; - Working cross functionally with various teams within HR; - Dealing directly with employee concerns and requests; and - Assisting/supporting the business with various employee programs for both Canada & the U.S. Co-workers have described me as well-organized, accurate, well-liked, respected and very capable. Previous employers describe me as relating well to clients and staff, confident, organized, enthusiastic, honest, committed, dedicated and competent. I work well in a team environment and enjoy collaborating with others, but am also very capable of working on my own. I have several designations from within the legal world in addition to a Certificate in HR Management with plans to receive my education and designation as an ADR Professional in Mediation. I am ready and willing to explore any opportunity that presents itself as I move forward in my life and career.
