Lisa Schafer

Since joining Landrum and Brown (L&B) as an intern in 2010, I have been responsible for using various programs including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office to develop a number of airport planning documents and exhibits. I have been involved with a number of projects including airport layout planning (ALPs), master planning, strategic airport planning, on-call airfield contracts, general aviation strategy and and cargo analysis. My expertise in our firm is centered around runway length, runway exit, and taxiway geometry analysis, as well as overall airfield operational analysis. I am very involved in the technical writing and review of our airport planning documents produced by L&B including our L&B Lab (our research and development unit). My technical writing skills have been applied to ALP narratives for some of the largest airports in the country, various technical memos, educational presentations, capacity enhancement plans, and documentation of master plans. For the last 10 years, I have led the philanthropic outreach committee at L&B in our Cincinnati office creating a positive impact on the communities we serve through volunteer efforts and charitable contributions. Most recently, we have partnered with a local organization to provide STEM-related programs to local schools, offering children educational opportunities about the aviation industry. From past involvements, I have gained experience working with UAVs, Automated identification and data capture, the Porter County Regional Airport, and the United States Air Force. Outside of Landrum & Brown, I have been involved in a number of professional organizations including Silver Wings Society, Women in Aviation International (WAI), American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).
