Lisa Trader

I am a senior corporate law clerk who manages the Corporate Services Department at LaBarge Weinstein LLP. I have been with LW since June 2003. Prior to joining the LW team, I was part of the corporate services department at Borden Ladner Gervais for approximately 4 years where, in addition to all aspects of corporate law, I gained extensive experience in both non-profit work and the area of Wills & Estates. While my main focus is on assisting clients through M&A transactions, I have extensive corporate experience advising start-ups through the incorporation process, assisting both private and public entities with documenting various corporate transactions and offering support with initial public offerings. I routinely draft documents for tax and corporate reorganizations, extra-provincial registrations across Canada, registrations to conduct business in various U.S. States and the incorporation and maintenance of non-profit organizations. My extensive experience, attention to detail and proactiveness make me an asset to LW's transactional deal team. My approach to trouble-shooting issues that arise either in a transaction or with day-to-day corporate actions is a very practical one. I enjoy maintaining a close working relationship with clients which enables me to manage a client’s file on both a cost and time effective basis. In March 2017 I received the designation of ILCO Certified Expert in the Area of Corporate Law.
